Is a father's saying, "The angels will not come near you if you are in this state, or something like that, and they will look at you from afar then laugh," or "smile a little," considered mockery?

We hope that your father did not intend to mock the Sharia (definition), but rather wished to encourage you to do what he asked. However, he is mistaken in his statement about the existence of angels, because it is among the matters of the unseen, which it is not permissible to delve into except with a [revealed] text. He must repent to Allah for speaking about the unseen without knowledge, and he should know that this is serious. You should advise him gently and kindly that delving into these matters is not permissible except with a legal proof.
