Is it permissible to continue playing electronic games that contain unlawful elements (such as music) to avoid falling into greater sins that might result from the free time caused by abandoning these games, especially given the scarcity of good Arabic alternatives?

It is not permissible to play haram (definition) electronic games under the pretext of free time or fear of falling into greater haram acts, because forbidden things are not permitted except out of necessity. The principle of committing the lesser of two evils does not apply here, as playing forbidden games is not the only way to avoid a greater evil. Free time should be utilized in ways that benefit one's religion and worldly life, such as reciting the Qur'an, seeking knowledge, remembering Allah, and engaging in permissible recreational activities.
