Is it permissible for a wife to supplicate against her lying and deceitful husband who concealed his previous marriages from her and lied in his promises?

We recommend supplicating for the betterment of the relationship between the spouses, as that is best for them. Allah has commanded supplication and promised to answer it. It is permissible for the oppressed to supplicate against the oppressor if the husband deceived his wife in marriage or did not act justly between his wives, but forgiveness is better. We advise the wife to exert effort in gaining her husband's affection and fulfilling her duties towards him, just as she would like him to fulfill his duties towards her, for, "And due to them is similar to what is due from them, in a reasonable manner."
