What is the state of the deceased in the grave from the first day until the fortieth, whether they are blissful or wretched?

The fortunate servant in his grave will have a door opened for him to Paradise, and he will be furnished and clothed from it. As for the wretched, a door to the Fire will be opened for him, and its heat and noxious winds will reach him, and his grave will be constricted upon him. The state of the servant in his grave does not differ in the first forty days after his death from the period after forty days, and there is no hadith (definition) indicating otherwise.
