Is the narration accurate which mentions that Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) when he proposed to marry her in the year 4 AH that she was old, would not bear children, and was intensely jealous, while she was then 33 years old? And is it said of someone at this age that she is old and will not bear children? And did Abu Salamah marry anyone else or take a concubine, and when did he marry her?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, married Umm Salamah after the death of her husband, Abu Salamah. Umm Salamah mentioned her advanced age, to which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, replied that he was older than her, and that her children were entrusted to Allah and His Messenger, and that he hoped Allah would remove her jealousy. There is a difference of opinion regarding the date of her death and her age at the time of her passing; some say it was in the year fifty-nine (59 AH), while others say sixty-one (61 AH). Various ages have been mentioned for her at the time of her death, and she was buried in Al-Baqi'. The sources do not mention that Abu Salamah had any other wife or concubine besides Umm Salamah.
