What is the ruling on dealing with a wife who neglects herself, her home, and her children, and refuses advice, and whose husband believes that the recurrence of problems in their marital life is a result of this neglect?

It is advisable to communicate with the wife, explain the husband's rights over her, the obligation of obeying him, and the virtue of her fulfilling the rights of her husband and children as a means to attain Allah's pleasure and enter Paradise, citing the Hadith: "If a woman prays her five [daily prayers], guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, she will enter Paradise from any of its gates she wishes." It should also be explained that it is not permissible to wear tight clothing in front of non-mahram men. If she does not obey, efforts should be made to reform her through lawful means, with patience and by considering the good aspects of her character, citing the verse: "And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them - perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good" and the Hadith: "A believing man should not hate a believing woman. If he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another."
