What is the ruling on eating or drinking hot food, such as hot tea or freshly cooked food?

Eating food cold is better and brings greater blessing, as narrated by Asma bint Abi Bakr, who used to cool her food and cover it until its steam subsided, and she would say: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'Indeed, it is greater for blessing.'"
