Is it true that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asked Gabriel, peace be upon him, about the time of his laughter, and he replied that he laughs when a human being seeks comfort in this world, knowing that comfort was only created for the Hereafter?

There is no origin for the aforementioned Hadith, and signs of fabrication are evident in it. The website "Al-Durar Al-Saniyyah" mentioned this Hadith among those widespread on the internet and described it as false. What Imam Ahmad narrated from Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, suffices instead: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "(Only he whose sins have been forgiven finds rest)." And what Ahmad narrated in "Al-Zuhd" from Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: "There is no rest for the believer before meeting Allah, the Almighty, the Majestic." And the statement of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal when he was asked: "When does a servant find the taste of rest?" He replied: "When he places his first foot in Paradise."
