Is it permissible for a teacher to take what suffices for his food, or dishes in which to cook his food, or salt and other food necessities from the private or public kitchen, or to take what he needs for his livelihood from the items present in the house?

It is not permissible for an employee to transgress upon the employer's property if he has received his wages. However, if the employer does not give him his due, he has the right to demand it through legitimate means. If that is not possible, some scholars permit taking the wages from the employer's property secretly, without transgression or extravagance, based on the hadith of Hind bint Utbah with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, which Al-Bukhari titled "Chapter on the retaliation of the oppressed if he finds the property of his oppressor." The employer must fear Allah and pay the employee his full due, otherwise he would be an oppressor deserving of punishment, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, related from his Lord: "There are three whose adversary I shall be on the Day of Resurrection: a man who gave his word by Me and then broke it; a man who sold a free person and consumed his price; and a man who hired a worker, extracted full work from him, but did not pay him his wages."
