Who is the author of the Shatibiyyah poem, and what is his full biography?

Al-Qasim ibn Firruh al-Shatibi is the author of the well-known Lamiyyah poem, known as Al-Shatibiyyah, and Al-Ra'iyyah. He was born in the year 538 AH and studied under the tutelage of Abu Abdullah al-Nafari and Abu al-Hasan ibn Hudhayl. He possessed vast knowledge in recitations (qira'at), orthography (rasm), grammar (nahw), jurisprudence (fiqh), and hadith. He had exquisite poetic compositions alongside piety and devotion. He settled in Egypt after voluntarily abandoning his country's oratory, and he passed away in Egypt in the year 590 AH.
