Could you provide us with a biography of Imam Abu al-Layth al-Samarqandi?
Abu al-Layth al-Samarqandi is Nasr ibn Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Samarqandi al-Hanafi, known as "Imam al-Huda" (Leader of Guidance) and the Faqih (Jurist). He was one of the prominent Hanafi jurists and ascetics, from Samarqand, Uzbekistan, and he passed away in the year 375 AH. He authored numerous works, including " al-Quran" (Exegesis of the Quran), "Bustan al-Arifeen" (Garden of the Gnostics), and "Tanbih al-Ghafilin" (Admonition for the Negligent). However, Al-Dhahabi and Ibn Uthaymeen pointed out the abundance of fabricated hadiths within them, and for this reason, it is not recommended to read them except for those who possess knowledge to distinguish the authentic from the weak.
