What is the authenticity of the hadith that mentions Qatadah ibn al-Nu'man's eye was injured on the Day of Uhud and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, returned it, and it became the most beautiful of his two eyes?

This report was narrated by Abu Ya'la from Qatadah ibn al-Nu'man, and it mentioned that his eye was injured on the day of Badr and flowed down his cheek. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, restored it, so he did not know which of his eyes had been injured. Its chain of narration is amenable to improvement.

It was reported from another perspective that it was injured on the day of Uhud. Al-Suhayli and Al-Daraqutni narrated this through different chains, mentioning that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, restored his eye, and it became his healthier eye.

Al-Waqidi mentioned in "Al-Maghazi" that Qatadah ibn al-Nu'man's eye was injured on the day of Uhud, and the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, restored it. It then saw and returned to its original state, becoming his stronger and better eye.

It is recounted that Qatadah's grandson came to Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, who asked him about his lineage. He answered with poetic verses describing the miracle of his grandfather's eye being restored, whereupon Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz honored him.
