Is it authentically established that it is from the Sunnah for the husband, during the first legitimate seclusion (khulwah), to offer his wife milk or sweets, place his hand on her head, recite Qur’an, and pray a supererogatory prayer with her? And is entering the house with the right foot from the Sunnah? If not, what is the correct Sunnah regarding the actions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) immediately after marriage?

It is recommended for a man, upon entering upon his wife on the first night, to place his hand on the front of her head and say: "O Allah, I ask You for her goodness and the goodness of what You have instilled in her, and I seek refuge in You from her evil and the evil of what You have instilled in her."

As for praying two rak'ahs in congregation, with the wife standing behind her husband, this has been authentically reported from some of the Salaf.

It is also recommended to be gentle with one's wife, such as offering her something to drink, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did with Aisha when he offered her milk.

As for the Sunnah upon entering the house, it is to enter with the right foot.
