Is it permissible to describe the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as "the intercessor of all creation" or "the intercessor of Muslims"?
It is permissible to describe the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as the intercessor for Muslims and the intercessor for all people. For him is a special intercession for the believers and a general intercession for delivering people from the horror of the Standing and for expediting the reckoning on the Day of Resurrection. This is the Grand Intercession mentioned in the words of Allah Almighty: "It may be that your Lord will raise you to a praised station" (Al-Isra 17:79). This is what is asked for him after the Adhan.
