What is the ruling on drawing musical instruments, and is drawing trees, palm trees, plants, and flowers forbidden?

It is forbidden to draw living beings, but it is permissible to draw inanimate objects such as trees and rivers. This is the view of the majority of scholars, and the evidence for this is what Ibn Abbas narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever makes a picture, Allah will punish him until he breathes life into it, and he will never breathe life into it." Then Ibn Abbas said to the man who asked him about drawing: "Woe to you! If you insist on making pictures, then you must draw trees and everything that has no soul."

As for the ruling on drawing musical instruments, it is not permissible to draw them if the purpose is to promote them, due to the collaboration in sin that this entails, unless the drawing is intended to prohibit and warn against them.
