How do we respond to someone who claims that God's breaking of His customary laws at the hands of His messengers is a departure from the general order necessitated by wisdom and upon which benefit is contingent?

Allah established the universe according to fixed laws, but His wisdom necessitated the existence of matters outside the norm, such as the miracles of the prophets (the splitting of the moon, the holding back of the sun, the coolness of the fire for Abraham, the parting of the sea for Moses). Likewise, the supernatural feats of the Dajjal and the sun rising from the west—all of this is by Allah's decree and in accordance with His wisdom and knowledge. Thus, there is wisdom in the continuation of the cosmic order, and there is also wisdom in its occasional disruption.
