Was woman created to serve and obey man, to satisfy his desires, and to raise children?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Allah created humans and jinn for His worship, and He created male and female for each to complement the other in building a family and raising children. He distributed roles between them in a way that suits the nature and readiness of each. He designated for women the functions of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and childcare, endowing them with tenderness and compassion to fulfill these roles. He assigned to men the function of providing for the family's needs and protecting them. Based on this, the wife is obligated to serve her husband within the home, and he is obligated to work outside the home to meet the family's needs. Both worship Allah by fulfilling their duties.
