Was woman created for man and his pleasure, or for the worship of Allah and for the tranquility and affection between spouses, and is a righteous man considered the best provision in this world for a woman, just as she is for a man?
Allah Almighty created spouses to complete each other, for men and women are in need of one another in the affairs and matters of life.
And the words of Allah Almighty: "And you abandon what your Lord has created for you of your spouses? Rather, you are a transgressing people," came in the context of Lut explaining to his people what Allah had made lawful for them from approaching females, as opposed to forbidding approaching males.
And the two verses from Surah Al-A'raf and Ar-Rum indicate Allah's favor in creating spouses for men from their own kind to achieve affection, and this does not negate the creation of men for women.
Likewise, the hadith "This world is enjoyment..." does not negate that a righteous man is an enjoyment for a woman, and for this reason, Islamic law encourages choosing a spouse who possesses religiosity and good character.
