Should people be placated, or should enjoining good and forbidding evil continue with them, despite the loss of relationships because of that?

Whoever rectifies their relationship with Allah, Allah will rectify their relationship with people. The inquirer must turn to their Lord with a good turning, and abandon concern for people's attention and opinions. Patience is essential in inviting to Allah, enjoining good, and forbidding evil, as stated in Luqman's saying to his son: "O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination." Patience necessitates knowledge of good and evil, and gentleness, and it is from the perfection of the self and the perfection of others. Moreover, man is in loss except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. Adherence to the etiquette of Sharia in inviting and advising is obligatory: "Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best."
