Did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbid blowing during prostration?

A weak hadith contains a prohibition against blowing during prostration (sujud). Al-Manawi interpreted this prohibition as a matter of purification (tanzih) if no letters appear, but as a prohibition (tahrim) if two letters or an understandable letter become apparent, due to the invalidation of prayer in such a case. Al-San'ani, on the other hand, held that the prohibition is because blowing is not among the etiquettes of prostration, which is based on supplication and stillness.
