What should I do about excessive flatulence during prostration, and is it permissible to suppress it?
If a worshiper is able to control the release of wind, it is obligatory for him to suppress it during prayer to maintain his ritual purity, unless he fears harm from doing so. If he fears harm, then he is not obliged to suppress it, and he should leave himself in his natural state without forcing himself, in accordance with the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "There should be no harm nor reciprocal harm."
