What is the ruling on a pilgrim exposing himself to death, out of a desire to die in the lands of the Two Holy Mosques, by being lenient in preventive measures such as staying in the hot sun and exposing himself to car accidents?

One must be cautious of complacency that leads to danger, for Allah Almighty says: (And do not kill yourselves. Indeed, Allah is ever Merciful to you), and (And do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction). The Prophet (ﷺ) said: (Whoever kills himself with something will be tormented with it on the Day of Resurrection).
