What is the ruling on performing ablution with Zamzam water, with mention of one of the reliable books on this matter?

It is permissible to perform ablution with Zamzam water without dislike, because it is pure water. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, performed ablution with it. It is also recommended to drink plenty of Zamzam water and perform ablution with it for whoever resides in Mecca.
