There is no harm in washing the deceased with Zamzam water, provided it is not used to remove impurities. Some jurists have been reported to dislike its use for removing impurities, but not for purification. Others hold that it is permissible, as it is pure and its blessings are hoped for. Some scholars have issued fatwas permitting the washing of ihram clothes with Zamzam water to be used as a shroud, and likewise permitting the washing of the shroud with Zamzam water, without believing it to be a recommended sunnah.
