What is the ruling on the first wife's request for an annual trip to her family, by analogy with the trip of the second wife whom her husband married from outside Saudi Arabia?

If the husband provides his first wife with the obligatory maintenance and housing, then he is not obligated to be just in anything beyond that. This is the opinion of the majority of jurists and is the preferred view. It is, however, recommended to be just in matters exceeding mere sufficiency, such as traveling every year [with her] or compensating her, in order to avoid disagreement.
