من هو الشيخ مقبل بن هادي الوادعي؟

The esteemed Sheikh Muqbil al-Wadi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, was a Yemeni Hadith scholar who sought knowledge from a young age in Sa'dah, Najran, Mecca, and Medina. He specialized in Hadith studies, eventually earning a master's degree from the Islamic University. He returned to Yemen and called to the Sunnah, establishing Dar al-Hadith in Dammaj, which attracted students of knowledge. Despite the great benefit of his call in spreading the Sunnah, his school was characterized by a focus on studying the Hadith chain of transmission (sanad) while neglecting its text (matn), as well as jurisprudence (fiqh) and Usul al-Fiqh (principles of Islamic jurisprudence). This led to a superficial approach to texts among some of its graduates.
