The answer

We advise the questioner to pray Tarawih in the mosque and not to skip it for attending a graduation ceremony. Skipping the ceremony does not cause any loss in religion, unlike skipping Tarawih prayer in the mosque, which leads to missing the reward of standing for an entire night, as stated in the Hadith: "Indeed, whoever stands with the Imam until he departs, it will be recorded for him as standing for a [whole] night." This is in addition to the reward for walking to the mosque and the blessing of the prayers of the congregants. The work of the Hereafter should be prioritized over the worldly life.
