Is it permissible for a man to prevent his wife from working in a nursing home if her work involves washing elderly men and women in their country of residence in Europe?

A man is permitted to prevent his wife from engaging in any permissible act, and even more so from any act that is forbidden or doubtful. He is also permitted to prevent her from leaving the house except with his permission. She must comply with this, for obedience to her husband is one of the means by which she enters Paradise. It is not permissible for a woman to perform ghusl (ritual washing) for anyone other than her husband, nor to touch his private parts. Rather, men should wash men and women should wash women when necessary.
