The answer

If a girl holds beliefs that contravene those of the Ahl al- wal-Jama'ah (People of the Sunnah and the Community), marriage to her is not advisable. It may even be forbidden if she believes in innovations that constitute disbelief. However, if her beliefs do not involve disbelief and you hope to influence her, and she possesses good character, there is no harm in seeking to persuade her to marry you or in waiting for her issue to be resolved. There is no harm in the girl's wali (guardian) specifying the mahr (dowry) and stipulating a piece of land, a job, or an apartment as part of it, as these are considered components of the mahr. Nevertheless, it is preferable to keep the mahr light.
