What is the ruling on a conversation between a non-mahram man and woman via writing on the internet?

There is no objection to dialogue between men and women online if it adheres to the Islamic legal guidelines, which are: that it be about demonstrating truth or refuting falsehood, for teaching and learning knowledge, while adhering to Islamic manners in language, that it be beneficial to Islam and Muslims, that the interlocutors possess self-confidence to uphold the truth, and that the dialogue take place in public forums and not privately. Nevertheless, it is preferable to avoid it to close the door to temptation (fitna).
