His name is: Simak ibn Kharashah ibn Lawdhan ibn Abd Wadd ibn Zayd al-Sa'idi al-Ansari. On the Day of Uhud, he had a red head-band on, and the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, established brotherhood between him and Utbah ibn Ghazwan. He remained steadfast with the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, on the Day of Uhud, and pledged allegiance to him unto death. He was among those who participated in killing Musaylimah the Liar, and then he was martyred on that day. Abu Dujanah has descendants in Madinah and Baghdad.
