What is the intended meaning of "major sin" (kabeerah) in the noble Prophetic Hadith, and is the forgiveness of sins repeated daily (40 major sins and emerging from sins as on the day one's mother gave birth to him) for those who perform the washing and shrouding of the deceased, and do the garments of fine silk (sundus) and rich brocade (istabraq) accumulate in Paradise, or what?

The hadith: "Whoever washes a deceased person and fulfills the trust therein, and does not disclose what he may observe, will emerge from his sins as on the day his mother gave birth to him," has been weakened by scholars due to the weakness of Jabir and Yahya al-Jazzar's lack of hearing from Aisha. Major sins are every sin for which there is a prescribed punishment in this world or a threat of punishment in the Hereafter. As for the repeated forgiveness of sins and the abundance of clothing with garments of fine silk and brocade, these are levels of reward and a perfection of bliss whose measure no one knows save Allah, as He—the Most High—said: "No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes, as reward for what they used to do." (Surat As-Sajdah: 17)
