Is it permissible for a taxi driver to transport passengers long distances during the time of Friday prayer?

It is impermissible to travel on Friday after Zawwal (midday) for one upon whom Friday prayer is obligatory, according to the majority of scholars, unless the person can perform the Friday prayer on their way or fears missing their travel companions. As for before Zawwal, there is a wider difference of opinion concerning its permissibility, ranging from disliking it to permitting it or prohibiting it. It is preferable to avoid it to steer clear of disagreement. It is also not permissible to assist someone who travels on Friday after Zawwal if they are among those upon whom Friday prayer is obligatory.
