Can the sinner argue predestination for their sin?

It is not permissible for a sinner to use divine decree (qadar) as an excuse for their shortcomings or mistakes, because belief in divine decree does not grant a disobedient person an argument for the duties they neglected or the sins they committed, by agreement of Muslims and rational people. The invalidity of this argument is indicated by both religious law and reason. For invoking divine decree is applicable to calamities that befall a person, not to faults. The fortunate person seeks forgiveness for faults and shows patience in calamities.
