Is the reward mentioned in the Hadith Qudsi: "I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived," and the noble verse: "No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes, as reward for what they used to do," exclusive only to those who perform Qiyam al-Layl?

The noble verse: "Their sides forsake their beds" does not exclusively refer to night vigil (qiyam al-layl), but rather encompasses all righteous deeds, as indicated by His Almighty's saying: "I have prepared for My righteous servants...". There is disagreement regarding the meaning of "forsake their beds." Some say it refers to night vigil, while others say it includes other acts of obedience. Ibn al-Arabi, in his interpretation of this verse, stated that it is a metaphor for staying awake in obedience to Allah. They differed on which act of obedience causes the forsaking of beds. Some said it is dhikr (remembrance of Allah), others said it is prayer. They also differed on the type of prayer; some said it is supererogatory prayers between Maghrib and Isha, some said it is the 'Isha prayer, some said it is the 'Isha and Fajr prayers in congregation, and some said it is night vigil.
