The preponderant opinion is the permissibility of promotional gifts and commercial discounts, provided that the buyer purchases what they need and at the market price. So, if invoices totaling five hundred [currency units] are collected to obtain a discount, or if a purchase of fifty Riyals or more is made to obtain a discount, and the purchase is for a need and at the market price, then there is no harm. However, paying a direct amount to obtain a discount card is not permissible due to gharar (uncertainty) and jahalah (ignorance). Setting an expiry date for cards or extending them due to a new purchase is permissible.
