Were the verses of the Holy Quran that were revealed for a specific reason revealed immediately at the time of the incident or reason, or were they delayed?

The revelation of the Qur’an is divided into two types: The first has no direct cause, but is revealed according to need and benefit. The second is revealed due to a specific event, and this is known as the occasions of revelation (Asbab al-Nuzul). An occasion of revelation is "every saying or action concerning which a Qur’anic verse was revealed when it occurred." The Qur’anic text may be revealed immediately after the incident or its revelation may be delayed. An example of immediate revelation is the Almighty’s saying: ﴿غير أولي الضرر﴾ (not those who have a disability) after the question of Ibn Umm Maktum. Examples of delayed revelation include the story of the Ifk (slander) and the story of Ka’b ibn Malik.
