Marriage is a long life that requires a good choice and seeking someone with religious commitment and good character, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If someone whose religious commitment and character you approve proposes to marry one of your women, then marry her to him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." Your family should have verified the suitor's condition before the marriage. As for now, he should be advised regarding Sufism and prayer. If he rectifies himself, then that is well and good. Otherwise, you must seek separation from him, and your family has no right to compel you to stay with him, for it is not just to force you into something that harms you.
