Are iftirash and tawarruk prescribed for women, how should one sit in them, and are they among the Sunnahs of prayer?

Iftirash (or the 'foot-erecting' posture) is for the worshiper to set up his right foot, lay down his left foot, and sit on its sole. This is sunnah (definition) (recommended) in the first tashahhud (definition), between the two prostrations, and in the last tashahhud of a two-rak'ah prayer. As for Tawarrruk (or the 'hip-resting' posture), it is for the worshiper to set up his right foot, bring out his left foot from under his right side, and rest his hip on the ground. This is sunnah in the last tashahhud of a four-rak'ah and a three-rak'ah prayer. Women are like men in this regard. The Shafi'is hold that Tawarrruk is also performed in the last tashahhud of a two-rak'ah prayer.
