Is it permissible to leave one's studies to avoid falling into forbidden acts, knowing that parents may suspect possession by jinn or the evil eye and resort to seeking help from jinn, and does the principle of committing the lesser of two evils and committing minor sins to ward off major ones apply to this situation?

Thank you for your zeal concerning Allah's sacred limits. You did well by leaving that school, as your presence there would necessitate falling into what is forbidden. The interest of preserving one's religion takes precedence over all other interests. We advise you to strive in searching for a school where those Shariah-based prohibitions are absent. If you do not find one, and you are in need of studying at this school, and you hope to be safe from temptation, then there is no harm in your returning to it. Take good companions who will help you in your religion, and work together to denounce evils according to your capacity. Allah the Almighty said: {So fear Allah as much as you are able} [At-Taghabun: 16]. Make your presence in the school limited to what is necessary. It is not permissible for you, according to Shariah, to obey your parents in anything that involves disobedience to Allah, as it has been authentically narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah; obedience is only in what is good and right."
