What is the influence of friends on a teenager's life?

Man is social by nature, and a friend influences his friend, whether positively or negatively, especially during youth. A corrupt friend beautifies evil deeds and leads to abysses of ruin. One acquires a bad reputation from such a friend and regrets it intensely, as Allah Almighty says: "And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands, he will say, 'Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.' Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken such a one as a friend. He led me astray from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter." As for a righteous friend, he reminds, assists, and brings joy to his companion in this world and the Hereafter.
