Is urine spray that splatters on overalls considered ritually impure (najis), and how can it be purified while being worn?

Urination while sitting is better than urinating while standing, because it was the predominant practice of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and to avoid being splattered by urine. If it is impossible to urinate while sitting, one must search for a place where the urinating person will not be splattered. It is also recommended to choose a soft place for urination, based on the hadith of Abu Musa: "When one of you urinates, he should choose a soft place for his urine." If a soft place is not found, he should press his penis against a hard surface to be safe from urine splatter.
