What is the ruling regarding those who say that the torment and bliss on the Day of Judgment are spiritual, and did Ibn Rushd say this in "Fasl al-Maqal"?

"Bliss and torment in Paradise and Hell will be for both the soul and the body, by agreement of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah (Sunni Muslims). Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah was of the view that the soul is blessed and tormented individually from the body, yet connected to it, and that bliss and torment are combined for it in this state, just as they are for the soul when it is separate from the body. There are anomalous opinions, such as the philosophers' assertion that bliss and torment are only for the soul, and the view of certain groups among the theologians (Ahl al-Kalam), the Mu'tazilah, and the Ash'ariyyah, that the soul does not persist after separation from the body, as well as the view of those who deny bliss and torment in the barzakh (interim period) until the Hour is established."
