Is it permissible to give charity and dedicate the reward to a married woman who passed away after a relationship of affection and mutual feelings online, knowing that she was unhappy in her marriage and had requested a divorce to marry the inquirer after his return, and that they never engaged in any forbidden conversation, but rather he was helping her with treatment, and she used to memorize the Quran, perform the night prayer, and give charity, and does the relationship with her prevent him from dedicating the reward of charity to her, knowing that he keeps some of her pictures and their conversations?
Getting acquainted between men and women online is not permissible due to the evils and temptations it entails. Establishing a relationship with a woman, divulging the secrets of her home, and assisting her in betraying her husband is a grave sin and a major transgression, due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "He is not one of us who corrupts a woman against her husband or a slave against his master." It is obligatory to repent to Allah, resolve not to return to it, conceal the matter of the woman, and remove everything related to that relationship. It is permissible to dedicate the reward of charity to her, and it is better to focus on oneself and good deeds to expiate the sin, learn the rulings of the religion, and draw closer to Allah. It is advisable to marry someone who is religious and of good character.
