What is the ruling on paying money for makeup and hairstyling? Is that considered a waste of money? And does the ruling differ for the rich and the poor?

Islam has forbidden extravagance and wastefulness. It is not possible to definitively state that the makeup and hairstyles for which the aforementioned amount was spent constitute extravagance and waste of money, except by knowing the circumstances of the person concerned and the extent of their adherence to the regulations of Sharia.
