What is the ruling on clothes washed with dry cleaning in laundromats, and does it remove impurity and validate prayer?

Scholars differed regarding the removal of impurity with something other than water. The majority held that water is specifically designated for removing impurity, except for what the Shariah has stipulated to be removed by other means, such as footwear, a woman's train (of her garment), and istijmar with stones. Whereas Abu Hanifa permitted removing impurity with any pure liquid. Ibn Taymiyyah was of the view that whenever an impurity is removed by any means, its ruling is lifted. Adhering to the view of the majority is more cautious.
