Prayer is not permissible in a ritually impure garment, unless the impurity is among what is excused. If it is certain that splashes of impure water have come into contact with the garment, then it must be purified; but if there is doubt, then nothing is required. Whatever water comes into contact with the garment after the impurity has been removed is pure. There is no specific amount of water required to remove impurity from the body or garment. The obligation is to remove the substance of the impurity if it has a physical mass, or to run water over the area if it does not have a physical mass.
