What is the Islamic legal ruling on using dolls for teaching sewing, keeping them as a souvenir in a non-prominent place, and using them for play by non-children?

It is permissible to keep dolls for girls to play with only, due to the hadith of Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her. It is not permissible to keep them for any other purpose, due to the general prohibition against making statues. The exception is specific to girls' toys for their need to play, and it does not include keeping them for learning sewing, or for remembrance, or for non-children's play.
