The answer

Consuming people's wealth unjustly is one of the major sins, especially the wealth of orphans and women, and Allah Almighty has warned against it. Whoever seizes a span of land unjustly will have it طوق (encircled) around his neck on the Day of Resurrection from seven earths. And whoever consumes the wealth of orphans unjustly is only consuming fire into his belly. If a man does not repent from this before his death, he will be exposed to Allah Almighty's punishment, and his good deeds will be taken from him on the Day of Resurrection. If his good deeds are exhausted, then the sins of those whose rights he usurped will be taken and placed upon him, and then he will be cast into the Fire. To save the deceased, one must supplicate for him and return the rights to their owners or their heirs, while asking them for forgiveness on his behalf. As for the living who usurp rights, they must repent and return the rights, otherwise they will be exposed to severe torment from Allah.
