What is the punishment for consuming an orphan's property, and does it occur in this life before the afterlife?

Devouring an orphan's wealth is among the grave sins that are forbidden and for which a severe warning is issued in the Almighty's قول: "Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming into their bellies fire. And they will enter a blazing fire" (Quran 4:10). It is also counted among the destructive sins. There is no specific evidence regarding its punishment in this world, but the hadith about the destructive sins may be used to infer that ruin will befall one in this world and the hereafter. Allah may give respite to the wrongdoer, and then seize him.
